True Hero

Bumbum! So there's this event and a few Inflation members are participating in it. I'm posting them on my blog so they'll be archived here, so enjoy! This first story was written by xFalsettox, titled True Hero.

For years and years the Inflation clan has fought the treacherous monster known as Vintor. Within all these years of war, the clans’ members become fewer and fewer. Creating blizzards of outstanding colds, and mazes that you could get lost in forever, Vintor has yet come to a stop. Everyone was frightened; the odious weather eventually caused the whole clan to leave the village and live in igloos. Apart from home, life wasn’t easy for any of them. In their daily lives, getting food was a difficult task because the lake they used to fish on is now frozen. All they’re ever capable of doing now is collecting woods to burn fire, and to survive from the cold caused by Vintor.

One day the Inflation clan was woken by a bright and beautiful light that calmed the air. It felt peaceful because the sun was amazingly bright, the flowers were fully blossomed, and the animals all returned from hibernation. Out in the distance where Vintor once triumphed, stood the shadows of two mysterious travelers, Falsetto and PrismStar. Both of the travelers were full of power and energy; with their armor (Falsetto with the Gaia, and PrismStar with the Tartarus) they’re almost undefeatable.

Falsetto, a Strider who wields dual blades struck lightning fast and swift, whereas PrismStar, a Dragoon who wields a spear struck precise and with extreme force. Together the power of their armor could fight the cold of Vintor along with their skills, blasting away at its icy body chipping it down strike after strike, until nothing left remained.

The clan cheered upon the death of Vintor claiming the two travelers the new Heroes of Inflation and instantly accepting them into the group. Traveling across the world of Jiendia, the two heroes’ hunted meat from Bronto, scales from Hyunmu, gold from Sphinx and wings from Invoke; everything the heroes gathered were shared among every lives of Inflation. All of this made living for Inflation so much easier. Every year the heroes would fight and slay Vintor, giving the villagers another peaceful summer full of prosperity.

At this point, Falsetto and PrismStar grew very fond of Inflation. They taught them how to train, how to hunt for food, how to rebuild their community and how to protect themselves from the worst of storms and foes. Together as a clan they were unstoppable. The heroes took eye to one of the clan members, John Gee. He was quick on his feet, and fast to recover., but he fought out of anger and not of heart. They later were informed Vintor had taken his parents the year before the heroes showed up. Every year JohnGee would ask to fight along side the heroes.

Another freezing cold night for the Inflation clan has arrived; they knew Vintor had come back. Falsetto met PrismStar outside the gate where they geared up and headed to the labyrinth. JohnGee racing to the heroes with his leather and his mini dual blades was stopped dead in his track by a white wolf. It caught him by surprise with a swift blow, knocking one of his swords away. He quickly caught his balance, striking the wolf at its left back leg. JohnGee picked up his other blade and stared eye to eye at the wolf. His blade pointed towards it, letting it know he was ready for the battle. The wolf lunged viciously at JohnGee with its mouth wide open and its claws aiming forward. Within seconds the battle was over. The wolf laid above JohnGees fallen body with the blades sticking out of its chest. It was unexpected but JohnGee had beaten the wolf without the help of the Heroes. With his hopes up high, he knew he could beat Vintor now for sure!

By the time JohnGee reached the top of the labyrinth the Heroes had already slain Vintor. JohnGee told the heroes about his victory match against a white wolf. He was so positive he could defeat Vintor but the heroes laughed and explained to JohnGee the consequences of letting him do so. The heroes wanted to protect him and if he fought with them they’d be out of focus. JohnGee threw his blades out of anger and marched home without a word. The couple knew that as upset and angry JohnGee was, they did the right thing to keep him away.

That morning the sun wasn’t bright like the other day, but the air didn’t feel any different from before. Everyone walked outside to notice that the flowers weren’t blossomed and the animals weren’t outside. Up on top the hillside where a loud noise passed along, everyone stared in fear. Vintor was back again within not even two days. The heroes were still tired from their last battle and not even 24 hours had passed, Vintor had resurrected. Falsetto and PrismStar geared up once more and headed towards the gate. They made sure the other clan members stopped JohnGee from sneaking up with them this time. The villagers stayed at the bottom of the hill staring at the top of the labyrinth, waiting for the Great fall of Vintor or for that bright light to shine upon their village once more.

After what seemed like days Vintor was still standing. Did the heroes fall to Vintor? Was it too much for them to handle? JohnGee couldn’t wait in the village any longer because he knew he had to go help them. Without even thinking, he grabbed his leathers and blades and headed out around the back of the village where he wouldn’t be seen. Up the labyrinth he climbed, monster were nowhere in sight due to the heroes clearing them out. After what felt like forever to him he reached the top of the labyrinth in shock.

There lay Inflations two heroes motionless on the battlefield and Vintor who seems to be standing strong. He noticed the Gaia and the Tartarus armor being scattered across the battlefield. Vintor must have managed to rip their armor off, revealing their bodies to the cold. JohnGee didn’t know what to do, he’d always dreamed about killing Vintor but if the two heroes couldn’t kill it, could he? JohnGee ran towards Vintor with full force, striking its body with his blades as fast and as hard as he could. Vintor then let out a huge roar throwing JohnGee across the field, but JohnGee managed to get back up and gave it another shot. JohnGee came to realize he was weak because he couldn’t even scratch Vintor. He hadn’t given up because he knew this is the chance for him to avenge his parents and the two heroes as well as protecting the Inflation clan and cold wind from hitting the village.

Vintor striking back just as fast tore off JohnGees leathers. Finally JohnGee struck one too many times. He broke both of his blades straight in half, and Vintor threw him one last time. It was over for JohnGee; he couldn’t possibly go on any further. No, he had to! If not for himself, then for his parents. JohnGee remembered Falsetto telling him to fight with your heart and mind, not with your anger, so JohnGee started to think. He saw what seemed to be part of PrismStars Tartarus set, and what looked like part of Falsettos Gaia set lying on the ground. He quickly grabbed them and put them on. What was this he was feeling? Such power and strength running through his body. The air seemed much warmer. He picked up PrismStars’ spear and threw it at the face of Vintor, sticking it dead in his eye. He then picked up Falsetto’s blades and darted towards its body once again.

Chip after chip, strike after strike, Vintors body seemed to be shrinking. As tired and as worn out as JohnGee was he couldn’t stop, he had to keep going. Vintor let out the loudest of screams from the hilltop and JohnGee knew it was time. He leaped up high from the ground letting his blades spin without mercy. As his feet hit the ground, a great light shined across the land. He stood victorious of Vintor, and with new armor and new blades, he knew from this day on HE would be the Hero of Inflation, and he would protect his people as the Heroes once did.
