Sweet Taro Potato

If you guys are familiar with me, you should know that I had a fish named John1. Well, he died early in January. He lasted for so long considering how I got him. Most of the other fishies were sick or hurt, but John1 made it through okay, until the very end. It's late February now and I have a few little buddies to take care of. They're so painfully cute so I'll introduce them to you guys.

Meet Sweet Potato and Taro.

They're Red Eared Slider Aqueous Turtles. You can tell the difference between the two of them by looking at their shells. Sweet Potato has a yellow spot on hers and Taro doesn't. By the way, I can't determine their gender because they're still little babies and their definitive gender differences don't occur until they're adults. I got five long years until I figure out their genders, but now, let's assume Sweet Potato is a girl and Taro is a boy.

They're cute and adorable and I can't stop just staring at them. I know they'll get much bigger and I'll have to take care of only one, but whoever I give the other to will give them the care and attention they need for sure. But until then, I'm content with watching both of them swim around, climbing the walls, basking in the light, not eating the food I drop in there, you know, turtle stuff.

They're both equally stupid. Not as stupid as people, but turtle stupid. They keep swimming against the wall and climbing it, causing them to flip on their backs, especially Sweet Potato. She's probably the most energetic of the two so therefore the stupider one of the two. She's flipped on her back so many times and I always freak out because turtles can drown that way if they're left like that for too long. I mean, at this moment of writing this, she just flipped over on her back. She's stupid, but I love her. Taro on the other hand, he's just so content basking and lazing around. Reminds me of another male that I know. -cough-John-cough-. Ugh Sweet Potato is at it again. I swear I wouldn't be surprised if she drowned because of her rambunctious behavior, but my little Sweet Potato is so fond of me.

But yeah. You'll hear me talk fondly of my little poop monsters from time to time. I love them to death and they're just little wonderful additions to my life.

I'll get back to LaTale blogging when I get things to do guys. I'm going to say this now, I'm not going to do an overview for the latest content update. Why? Well, I don't have a need to do so. Darkness weapons do not interest me whatsoever and neither does doing strict, boring runs of bosses that require parties in which I have no tolerance for. I'm just not that type of person. In response to the content update however, Level 13+ has yet to be implimented into our version. Seriously OGPlanet? Upon learning this, I HD'ed an inquiry, and yet my inquiry was not answered, just dodged. If you can't disclose that information, say that. But don't you dare give one of your customers something that does not answer their question entirely. With that said, I have other things floating around outside of the boundaries of LaTale, such as this Let's Play LaTale Series. You should really watch.

But for now, until we meet again, adieu.

I have a red eared slider. Are yours nice? Mine is SO mean LOL. I just don't know what to do with her.

Mine are little cuties that don't bite at me. How old are yours? I heard that if you introduce fingers when you feed them, they'll be more prone to biting.

I honestly don't know. I got 2 as babies and my current one kept attacking the other one to the point that it became ill. So, I'm stuck with this one. I wanna say she's around 3-4 years old. And I didn't hand feed 'em so I'm not sure why she's always hissing and being rather aggressive. Trying my best with her though.

If she's been handled very roughly as a baby, I wouldn't be surprised if she feels defensive of her territory or fears hands or people. I just got my turtles and I might be a psych major, but I don't know the psychology of turtles. I just know that they do their own little thing sometimes.
