Hey! Last week we had an update, too bad I was too lazy and distracted by other things to update immediately. That seems to be the running excuse on this blog isn't it? Well it's true and I'm not one to lie fruitlessly. Anyways, it's deep in the heat of summer and OGPlanet finally gave us a lovely event, I mean lolbox event. Regardless, there's some other things too. Let's go ride on some unicorns, okay?
The first thing I have to address is that there's a key and box in this event, Golden Needles and Blue Water Balloons. I haven't personally opened one, hence the lack of screenshots, but you can find the rewards list here. Moving on, you'll probably notice when you kill something, a weird plant item will careen your consume inventory called a Green Thumb.
Gasp, 'tis a lolbox event! Yes yes, if you recall back in February or something (about when my laptop died I think...) we had a lolbox event and the biggest discovery was that you could farm them seamlessly by just hitting some certain stone heads...
Happy farming Inflation (and everyone else)! To participate in the lolbox event, you simply use your Green Thumb to warp to an event area called the Wasteland.
There, talk to the Abio Black NPC, then accept and complete his quest to receive an item called Green Seed Rake. Equip it and you will find the skill Green Seed Discovery under your Item Skills in your Support Skills. This special dig is needed in order to dig up Green Seeds, the lolboxes. If you notice on your buff list, there will be a 5 minute buff to allow you to dig up one spot from the Wasteland floor. Once you successfully dig up one spot and recieve 1-5 Green Seeds, the buff will end and you will need another Green Thumb to receive another buff. Rinse, wash, repeat.
So what exactly can you get from these seeds? Most of the time, you'll receive either a Sower of Forests Title Guidebook or Tree Planter Title Guidebook.
The Sower of Forests Title Guidebook has a success rate of 1/20 while the Tree Planter Title Guidebook has a success rate of 1/100.
I learnt mine fairly quickly, but some people might have worse luck. Never be discouraged by the elements of luck although! Luck loves doing that to us humans. Going on, you might receive some Gemstone Stand Paints, some Chance Chance! or some Special Snow Raccoon Hot Spring Tickets. The Gemstone Stand Paints are for shops. You can pretty up your shop by using one and opening your shop. You will have a 10 hour buff that will allow you to make your shop all gold and "pretty," but to be honest, it's so ugly. There's at least 3-4 more shop paints yet to be released so I'm just waiting for the pink ribboned one to be released.... So, about those Chance Chances!...
If you're a regular participant of the tridaily Quiz, you're in luck. The Chance Chance! allows you to have extra chances to increase your points, but you can only use 10 per quiz. It's funny because Inflation just sends their Chance Chance! stacks to our neighborhood Quiz fanatic Isataaadi because we don't quiz as often as he does. His mailbox should be overflowing by now, but we love you Isa~ In addition to those aforementioned, you can sometimes get Battle Point Potions and 1 Day Iris Stone Coupons, occasionally Peach Cans and Strong Special Accessory Coupon, and rarely Enchant Remedies and Superior Ely Nostrums. However, those aren't what make Green Seeds special.
Occasionally, you might get something called a Fancy Box. The rewards range from earrings to ribbons, but it's basically everything you can get from digging, but has been removed mysteriously by OGPlanet. I got a Fire Magician Hat from a Fancy Box. I was so happy, but that's not all.
Rarely, you might get a Tengu Coupon. Well, in my case, more than occasionally. In total, I got 8 Tengus, one of which was not screenshoted because I was in between consciousness and slumber. That and I was probably distracted by Durarara!!, but you know. I can't help myself when the whole episode teased me with little snippets of Izaya and Shizuo. But, whatever.
Green Thumbs, Green Seeds, Battle Point Potions, and Guidebooks cannot be traded. Green Seeds, Battle Point Potions and Guidebooks can be banked, however, so you can share the wealth with the rest of your account. Everything else is tradable and bankable.
So, what else is there to talk about... Oh yes! There is a new instance- wait what?! Yeah I know, but it's a level 30 instance, or a level near that. If you're wandering around Elias, take a visit to the bowels of the Behemoth Stomach area and meet Mr. Rice, the new instance boss. The instance is just a simple map where the boss spawns, much like where the UFO Octopus spawns. John and I decided to meet Mr. Rice and play around in his lab.
He wasn't very nice though, so John tried to 1 hit him. He disappeared.
If you want to avoid getting the instance glitched, take your time in killing him for he needs to transform.
After transforming, he'll be more welcoming! Uh, at least I think. He does summon a spear and waves it around and tries to harpoon you. That's not very nice, even if you want to talk to us Mr. Rice! Eventually, he'll summon really big, dark green Germ Spawn and his secretary- I mean "special" nurses.
At times, he'll send you to his big boiling cauldron to take a bath. It's quite nice really. That is, if you have a lot of hit points.
Once he gets to a certain point, he'll summon these weird guys in cloaks to take him away and only drop a few bags of items.
However, if you're able to kill him before this happens, he will just die and you'll get the maximum amount of items.
So, I'll leave you here. Where will we meet next, I'm not sure. Will it be when Sub Class actually comes out? Will it be when the QQtrain is at it's height? Je ne sais pas, mais je sais un truc: j'ai une mauvais note d'examen d'AP. Oh well. Remember to stroke your giga balls guys .
